About this varietyOur Dominican Estate Grown is produced in an organic and fair trade manner by a cooperative that is directed by women coffee producers. It’s not only their goal to produce high-quality coffee in a sustainable way, but to help women by providing employment and opportunity.When we tried our first sample of this coffee, we were impressed. We both agreed we need to get it in our product line. Soon. It has an exceptionally complex flavor profile, with nuttiness and chocolate evident and in excellent harmony. It’s acidity is bright and crisp, and has a medium body, and you’ll notice a slightly spicy tang in the finish. It remained delicious as it cooled, and even out of the fridge it was excellent. Truly a lower cost rival to its Caribbean cousins (Puerto Rico and Jamaica). Our Dominican Estate Grown has a medium roast that spotlights all its charm and overwhelms none of them.
